We still have a baller

Yup, its true, still got a baller in the house and based on his golfing, this will likely be the last year to see a Leadbetter on the mound.  Chris coached as the swan song for the grade.  Looking back I am not sure how we managed to fit in a baseball schedule with all the other spring actives to include umpiring from Drew!  But they had several games, overall wished there was a bit more competition during most games.  There is A LOT of talent on this team.

Congrats to Drew for pitching, catching and playing just about ANYWHERE dad needed you on the field.  Baseball is still my favorite sport to watch and we have all decided the best years are in the majors.  These are a bit of a bonus.

Thanks drew for wearing Nick's (Julian's) old cleats, making sure your bag was mostly packed.  Your mitt didn't fall apart this year and we have MORE than enough baseball pants.  You are a blast to watch.

Turns out, they won the conference and Drew gets to bring him a trophy for his final season.  I cannot say enough about how Chris fills in where needed.  He coordinated the schedule and games when all the other dads had kids in other leagues and schedules.  He always came out with a positive attitude to the parents, kids and coaches.  I cannot begin to imagine there is a life without him on the field somewhere.  Maybe not yet, but its getting close!  Way to always be the dad that says yes (even if it does feel a bit too often)

Boys you DID IT  Congratulations!

LAST day of High School for Nick Leadbetter!

Now this is WAY too fast but we kind of saw it coming.  Last day of school is here, and I cannot think of one thing this guy didn't try, do or succeed at.  wear all the medals, all the cords and know that you did it all!
I still see this little guy in his plaid shorts with socks to his knees and a back pack almost the same size he is.
Here is where I am thankful I blogged.  Check out a few more first day photos.

The days may be long, but the years go by fast.  Never felt more true.

Our Scholar Athletes

Crushing these awards nights right?!?!  Tis the season.  While it felt like Nick's name was all other the program, from announcing awards to being awarded the Winter Athlete MVP.  He may have been overlooked for the 4 year scholar athlete, but I will leave that up to him to debate.  He is a scholar athlete in our books.

We had some other fabulous recognitions with Shane and Macy both achieving the scholar athlete awards and Helen and Wyatt achieving the underclassman award.

Love that they presented the wrestling team with their conference champion banner.
And look who gets to start a new 100 win's banner. - Way to use all the letters and 122 - AMAZING! set goals and work your ass off to achieve them.  That is how he did it!

The McCullough's are ROOTED

One step at a time, it really happened!  The McCullough's became homeowners in our little town of Canton, CT about 2.5 miles away from us in a beautiful home built almost perfectly for them.
The closing process was NOT an easy one, filled with inspection items needing corrected, crazy ass current owners and stuff staying and going.  Timelines being impacted one way or another.  The didn't sleep well until they officially had the keys - or just that any keys the current owner had are now passed along (and locks are changed)

The closing of the loan was on Macy's birthday - its not everyday you get a house for your birthday!  They hosted a birthday Pizza party in their new place!  Unbelievable!!!
Love this photo of the 4 of them all together under THEIR roof. It will be amazing watching you turn this house into YOUR home.  We are beyond bless to have this fairy tale ending like this.
Happy Birthday to one special lady
Welcome to Canton to our favorite family!  May you love it as much as we all do!

Dollars for Scholars

Another big award night for Canton and this was the Dollars for Scholars.  They started it off by awarding Nick his ROTC scholarship, he came screaming in from a golf match, changed and on the stage in minutes.

The officer did a wonderful job describing the award, how Nick achieved it and what it will mean for him time in college and after.  While we as so proud of him achieving this scholar ship, we hope receiving this award helps other students become aware of the scholarship options out there and the different ways you can get out and see the world.

Nick also came home with the Boost club award for his leadership and school spirit, a scholarship from the fire department and one other!  Aside from ROTC, an additional $3000!

Memorial Day weekend acitivites - From Massachusets, to Texas to the Beach

Well Friday we were all together and Saturday we were EVERYWHERE!

Drew and Chris went to San Antonio to celebrate Sebs graduation and met up with Wyland and Wyland
Shane and I drove my folks up to North Attleboro to enjoy a day together going to Briggs's Nursery, outlet shopping and some Jackson baseball watching!  This photo is BEFORE the nursery.  I think my sister has a pretty awesome after photo that is filled with flowers!!
Loved getting some photos of Nick on the beach in at Squam (as they call it)
Outlet shopping with Shane and LOTS of people!! We found some killer white golf pants for Shane and the parade tomorrow.  Thumbs up to Maddy's searching skills!
Monday morning nick made it home in time for the parade and it was a BEAUTIFUL day!
Thanks to Patty we are all matching and could all find eachother =)!
Do you see our famous trumpet player?
How about BOTH the trumpet player AND the bass clarinet guy!
How about a famous veteran too!  We filled up the parade!

Oma Sue took this one to send to Uncle Dick's children so they know the trumpet is alive and well and still being played with the marching band!
We came home to a very festive flocking
The ceremonial boat launching up to the lake.  Look at my old lady Nora who is excited to go and be with us.
Happy pooch and I get Nick as a driver with Shane!
We managed to get the boat back out there and of course it rained.  I had to take this photo as Drew was traveling back from TX and wanted to show him the care his brothers took in covering the boat during the freak rain shower.

Here is the photo that day in San Antonio at the Alamo bowl.  Congratulations Seb!

Senior Prom!

Being on the senior counsel, he was part of the senior prom planning - He had it all figured out.  Friday or Memorial day weekend, Prom Location booked, DJ booked, even the VRBO was booked.  Great planning on his part.
The icing on the cake was having Ashley home from school in Colorado!!
These 2 opted to pick some local flowers along with some flower in our gardens for their bouquets.  They are such a beautiful couple.  Love that my folks popped over to see them and get a photo.
It was a rather chilly Memorial Day afternoon - can you tell by what we are wearing?
Adorbs!
The moms coordinated a photo opt at the Hopmeadow country club.  Thankfully they let us use the covered pavilion as of course it was a bit rainy.  But of course these kids made the best of it!

This crew had a BLAST and I loved their energy when they came home saying they were on the dance floor ALL NIGHT and how good that felt.  Way to go Logan for getting the party started!!
