Lego Land - can you beat Disney? HAPPY NEW YEAR!

So it was a late night for the adults -
which meant this felt like an early morning even thought we didn't have to be at the park until 10 - our morning was SLOW
 - we didn't even make breakfast and were STARVING for McDonalds by the time we finally made it there.  Park time - 10:35.  Our expectations were HIGH after being in Disney for 3 days.
Gotta admit the Lego creations were amazing and throughout the park - the level of detail made my head spin!
Yup, he is all Lego  - and snores too!
(lots of shopping at this park - that is one take away - great stuff too)

The rides were PERFECT for the kiddos - perfect height, attractions, everything.  We found a wonderful water boat ride that the kiddos LOVED - matter of fact a few of them went on a couple times - we all got soaked.

Thankfully we stored out phones on the stroller -
which leads me to a funny story -
we unload from the water ride,
I walked up and grabbed the stroller thinking I was the last one to leave and I would catch up with the group.  I walked on trying to find everyone and realized I was alone.
I walked back to the shops thinking Farrah, Brian, Tate and Nick were there -
no luck
I opted to walk on hoping to catch up with them
I started calling them ALL and texting them.

NO ONE wrote me back -
Here are my texts (they make me laugh now)

This lasted 45 minutes as I walked around the park just hoping to find them.
Than..... I did.
Farrah - who was making friends with a sweet woman in the park in hopes that she has memorized my phone number enough to ask a stranger to call it.  She told the sweet lady if anyone walks by wearing her same shirt THAT was the friend she was looking for.
And I did - THAT instant.

Brian's response was AFTER I reunited him with his phone.....  The next bit is everyone now thankfuly having a good laugh - I have mentioned how much I really do love my friends.

Therefore I find it ironic that I am not in this photo

See, they needed me to go on the kids rides!  (drew LOVED this one BTW)

Than we all parted to different rides.  Each party waited an eternity for our next rides.  I must say the sense of urgency of the employees there was NOT there.  They really had no idea they faster THEY went, the faster WE went.
These texts just crack me up. -

Can you tell even WE need caffeine - we should have purchased some for the ride operators

This is where Farrah gets really funny - even talking photos of the poor riders!  TOTALLY Justified!

Guess these 2 finally made it on the ride (we made it on the roller coaster too - 45+ minute wait, 1:20 sec ride....)

Than Farrah and I HAD to wait in line for coffee - by the time we made it to the front of the line - Vacation dad (who was full face painted Skeletor) bought us coffee -
We made it in time to watch drivers school
Since Paying $15 for the actual license was NOT an option - this worked great!

How many legos does it take to build this sweet car?
The afternoon was coming and it was such a pretty afternoon and beginning sunset - so of course I begged for a quick group photo
I LOVE this photo of all of us!
Something just beautiful about these trees.
Now to the Lego creation part of the park
If only they were holding hands and not just sharing cereal
Someone REALLY enjoys putting together legos
Nick, what are you doing in the stroller??

Lots and lots of legos

I have to admit - Brian captured all these photos as his level of interest was WAY higher than mine - I am including them as I think the kiddos would love to see them, some day!
Maybe build a few too

Now its NEW YEARS EvE and Lego land has a fire works show and a Brick lighting at 8PM - anyone interested?!?! We were GONE by 6:30
Quote of the day goes to Drew  -
he said on some of the rides he went on - his penis was worried!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Lego Land
Nuggets with Mac and Cheese for the kiddos -
Lamb for the Adults

 WAIT!, Happy 20 years!

This LTC passed his 20 year mark in the Air Force!  Look at this bottle of wine that was gifted to him as part of his HUGE accomplishment - I wish I could say we were the ones that gifted it to him, but we aren't that cool and could never pick out a wine that awesome.
Yet he shared it with us!
I remember starting in the Army and looking at those with 20 years in with such admiration - what a retirement - what a service (never once did I think they wow they are OLD!)  We aren't old - we are awesome and 20 years -
Brian, congratulations!
Anyone need more??
I grabbed a blanket and settled in an farrah was thrilled to join me - aren't good friends the best - even the ones that take a photo of you NOT making it tis midnight on New years!
Thankfully Brian and Chris have each other -
Doesn't this party look fab?
I know  - you wish you were joining Farrah and I on the couch too =)

The New Year was started in the BEST way imaginable -
