But what I need to start doing is enjoy the fact that I am not overly uncomfortable. I can walk nick back and forth to kindi, I loved going to MOPs with just my bellie (as well as my pop in at ikea, where they told me the 2 items I went in for were not in stock and the other item was only sold at the other Ikea-45 minutes away, seriously) i didn't have a fussy newborn. So here's to the enjoyment of the next several days.
I vow to take a nap every day-from now until the baby is born! Thanks mom!!
Tonight we enjoyed a stroll along our favorite farm trails, beautiful sunset.

Yup, still pregnant...

This was Tuesday, the weather was amazing and all the outdoor pools are closed, so fountains it is

The boys loved it. My mom asked if we were the only ones that put our kids in bathing suits... Yup, the Germans go natural-no photos!

And yum, the cocktails! Yes, Shane, you can share mom's..... For now.....Oma sue dove into the Hugo!!a summer treat!

Nick, can you get enough of that chocolate ice cream?

Life is good

So here's our little bump in the road. At about 4 am Chris and I woke up, but not to labor pains.... To a sick nick about to ' lose it ' in our room. Chris was instantly awake and in re-direct mode. He spent the next few hours with nick, sleeping, running to the bathroom etc..
Nick was on quarantine.
Is was rather heart wrenching when he called for mom and got Oma sue, but in my opinion, not a bad replacement! He watched a million movies, shows etc.... Oma set him up with dinner upstairs, do you feel the love?

The hardest part was we (Shane and I) were opening a box from Farrah and Tate. Not only great clothes for nick, but fun toys that nick remembers playing with at Tate's, but now, shane was down stairs playing without him!! Oh the horror!
Shane on the other hand thought it was great. He got some one on one time with all of us. No one told him how to play, what to play with etc.. No screeching, no sharing, just pure Shane time! Oma sue loves the German bubbles as does our little train engineer.

Pauli got some attention too. He walked her all over!

And finished the day with some yummy chocolate cake-he has a little grandpa Roy blood running through him!

Nick came down at the end of the solo day saying,' I feel better, can I be your cuddle bug again?' My mom said he was an ideal patient and did as he was told all day. 10 cheerios here, a sip of bubbly juice there.... He kept it all down, so we headed out for a family walk and he was thrilled to be part of it.
Back to kindi tomorrow. We are chalking it up to a hard boiled egg that he shared with his buddy at school....
Just wanted to add this photo here instead of the pumpkin fest one as I love these boys and what a great dad;)

So instead of worrying about september vs october, i stumbled on this..... Shane was born friday and nick on sunday. Wonder what is in store for us next....
Monday's child is fair of face
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child who is born on the Sabbath Day
Is bonny and blithe and good and gay.
Thanks to Oma sue for making this final week so much more enjoyable!! We are too lucky,
