Neighborhood love.

Look at those Dahlias on this sweet stand!  I was blessed to get an arrangement from the Murphy's!  Those girls are too sweet.
Meanwhile, trying to grown my own, slowly but surely.
After talking to Kelly about a stuck snapping turtle.  We got up early on a little life saving mission.  Will never forget hopping this the truck with probably the happy early up folks ever!

Day tripping!

Right before we head down to Susie's house I had to snap a photo of the beautiful corner all from her yard!!  Not sure if it was masterfully transplanted.  We like our plants hardy around here.
What do you think the kids want to do?!?!  Crabbing!!  As we got there another family was leaving saying there weren't any crabs.  Apparently they weren't looking very hard.
These guys nabbed quite a haul
This one always finds one to get 'attached' to.
Pretty adorable car load here.
Fun summer day that feels like we got away.  Kids every took their teacher meet at great on the beach.  These are the things I hope ALWAYS stay virtual!

Friends in the hood

This guy?!??!  Chris and I work to get up early every morning and walk.  Get the day started before the kids take it over.  Look what we saw our neighbor taking a photo of - Who would have thought?
Than check out what got delivered from Tracy!!
Delicious and totally unnecessary!  Love the business idea -=)!

Perfect thing to bring up to our neighborhood buddies for Hotdogs and Whoopie pies by the pond.
We have loved some nights chilling with the Canny's!  They are great people and just like to have fun.  Great family place.  LOVE what they did with the pond and the area.  Apparently Nora loves the kayak too.

Did someone say Golf?

Parent Child golf tournament at Simsbury Farms.  Its a family afair!  Oma Sue is drive with Drew - His partner Goomba is walking.
Nick and Chris are together as they are in it to win it.
Somehow this sweet guy got stuck with me?  Yup, I haven't swung a club until this morning.  I had a few good shots, but he mostly carried the team.  Thankful for the good snacks that were packed for him.  As that is the secret to a good day for Shane.

Golf course shenanigan's.
Losing team treats to ice cream.  Thanks to R+F!
Meanwhile this guy is loving his gold time with his buddies.  They tend to sneak back out there every chance they get.

Pictures like this....

This an so many others is what I love about baseball season.

Love to watch this guys focus and desire to be part of the team.

Loves to swing at that first pitch too.

Drew's First AAA season

I give these coaches a HUGE amount of credit.  They dove right in, wore masks and offered tons of practice to mentor these kids.  Drew soaked it all in.  He was uncertain at first as his only baseball was back yard with his brothers (which at times is pretty legit)  He LOVED this team - older kids, younger kids and his buddy Andrew.
We ended the season with a town tournament (among 2 teams).  Double elimination.  First game, land slide in one direction, second game, landslide in the other.  3rd game, nail biter....  They came out on top and it was pretty darn adorable.  We love the other team (how could we not).

He even came home with a game ball.

Moments of Joy

Finding my hat right where I left it - but not where I remembered leaving it
Cycling out to enjoy a sunset with my husband (than cycling back in the dark)
Loving the connections and interactions on the baseball field
A happy big flowering plant that needed a home from my mom
Snuggle time with Mr. Drew
Twin time for Shane - He entertained them through MANY games.  I love how they love him!

Finding homes for the fish with the Barbers.
Impromptu pool part of the team.

Lobster Lake here we come

Nothing says lets hit the road like a last minute pee break.  Haven't even pulled out of the driveway yet.  Briggs are already on the road, however based on their pee stops we will catch them before lunch.
The last minute rush felt a bit more last minutey - I caused a bit being out late to the super sweet wedding - however Chris managed to pull it all off and here we go!
There is something so free spirity and exciting making the final turns into Lobster lake.
Tracey, Steve, Gabby and Riley met us there with Lasagna in the oven.  We moved right in and started the next day rocking a pretty serious project.
Tibs rock jumping...  Wait, that wasn't the project.  That is what is occupying the kids while another project unfolds
Tree finding, tree cutting, tree stripping and not tree hauling.  This whole operation amazed me - the engineering and strength behind it was impressive.
They are merely posing, not demonstrating the efforts they put forth.
This crew on the other hand.  Steve, Asa, Chris and Tracey take the cake for this log =)!  Rebecca and I were on lifeguard and boat detail.
We hauled it up to the camp and considered the mission successfully complete (for the stages we were responsible for).  Now to enjoy the first sunset.
The next day Wyland, Shannon, Wyland and Robbie joined us.  Quite early matter of fact.  They drove their RV from a soccer tournament in PA, left the RV in our driveway.  Pretty sure the neighbors were amazed with the changing of gears that happened in mere hours as they went from soccer time to camp time.  They ambled up on the beach in masks as a respect to the rest of us.  However we are in this together.  I am guessing this is the most normal everyone has felt for quite some time.  So masks required.  Time to enjoy the moments together.
In the many years I have come up to camp, never have we hike Spencer.  Today is the day.  It wasn't a far drive.
Snagged a somewhat decent group shot (really to ensure the number we go in with is the same we come out with)
The hike was beautiful and started to get a bit rugged.  We came to this beautiful clearing.  Shannon opted to stay here and chill.  20 minutes later, Robbie, Nora and I opted to head back to meet Shannon (clearly she knew what she was doing)
I was quite happy with our view.
The walk home was just as long.  I am impressed by these troopers.
Loved capturing these 2.  They had a pretty adorable bond over the week up there.  Both enjoyed constant fishing  - Wyland didn't seem to mind Drew's constant commentary
Nora was pretty happy to get back to the car.
We contended with the wind quite a bit both days but found places to escape it.
Another favorite shot.  That is a rather clear shot of Spencer mountain!

I don't have this photo here - but I want to remember a ride back from wherever we were adventuring.  It was windy and honestly we were a bit worried about boating into the wind and making it back.  We took it head on and the waves were soaking us.  I remember being in the boat with Asa, Shannon, Rebecca and Chris (which means I think Wyland was rocking it with the kids!) and we were drenched but in stiches.  None of us risked soaking out iPhone for a photo.  But the memory is etched.
Thurday morning - a crew hikes Katadin and I stayed back to enjoy a morning with our cousins and not be hiking! Thankful for the morning!  Had to toast with these thoughtful glasses Shannon made sure arrived before our trip.  They are the perfect cocktail glasses!
Glad I snapped a photo of the family before they headed out.  Completely forgot to do this for us on our departure - but that was a bit more complex involving a tippy canoe, walk back to grandmas blah blah blah.

No wind and a true fishing frenzy
These boys caught a bunch and scaled them all to eat.
Fish nuggets!!
Here we are recording the first official lobster lake booze cruise!
we picked the perfect night for it!

Cheers to another great week up at Maine
