Its Saturday and its football!

Another series of events that I never really grabbed my camera for - We left Aunt Stosh's after a wonderful breakfast and headed home via Home Depot to grab an outdoor heater.  We made it home 20 minutes before the Michigan vs Ohio State kick off - matter of fact we started Tivoing it since Rib and Heidi were about 20 minutes away - can't start the game without them!!

Thankful Heidi came with yummy snacks for the game while I assembled the heater and chris prepped the field.  we also watched the game - and it was HUGE - Michigan led about the entire time until a crummy penalty a, lack of penalty call - and 1st down that never really happened - well that was the game folks.  We lost, overtime and all - yuck yuck yuck...

So we dusted ourselves off and went out to play football - it was a HUGE hit and the kiddos loved it. Chris had lights rigged up and all.  Snack from the hood and a great place to play

Thanksgiving in The Charron's New home

Thanksgiving at the Charron's Thursday morning!!
I will never forget last Easter Riley say that she wanted to host the next holiday at their house - its amazing what 8 months can do!  I LOVED being at my sister's house for Thanksgiving - almost as much as she truly loved hosting.  Yes, she was stressed as this week is conferences for her and late nights.  My folks came up on Tuesday to help and prep - so glad they could and did!  love seeing this beautiful table set.

Look at these beautiful ladies
A couple of pre-feast photos
Lots going on in that kitchen!  Glad these guys took a moment to obliges the photo lady!
Seriously cute!
BEAUTIFULLY full table - we all just loved being there - the turkey, the cranberries - and the family the most important part - exactly what I love about Thanksgiving - its all about family and friends being together and enjoying a meal TOGETHER.  Charron's you did a wonderful job hosting!
I found Drew and Maddie downstair already working off the meal =)!
Next up the biggest and most beautiful apple pie ever - Ala Jimmy!!  Great shot of Nick and Barbara too =)!
And for those that didn't want Apple Pie
We have PIE IN THE FACE
Stacie had a super cute Pie in the face game - the kiddos LOVED it
Jackson couldn't get enough
He managed to move aside and let us all get a shot -
Chris
Nick
Shane
Roomba - nailed it!
Jackson was disappointed if it didn't hit him....wonder where he gets that from!?!

Seriously too cute
very reluctant participant.
Again,
And again,
And again

Friday was rainy and YUCKY - the perfect day to venture over to 338 MT hope street and see the amazing accomplishments they have over there - its going to be rented THIS MONTH!!  HUGE undertaking and something to be SO proud of!

Kitchen totally redone!
Bathroom too!
Closets by Chris!
Family room polished and painted!
A trip to the bowling alley - the snuggle movie time.
Seriously Drew, will it ever stop?
Meanwhile upstairs we all got to watch Rudy - Big kids and little kids -
We even stay up later to watch the Big Short - AMAZING movie and incredible well done, made my head swim!
Thanks Stosh for hosting a truly wonderful weekend.  The kiddos loved being together and it really felt like home in your house!
Until we got home - and realized on Sunday on our way to Church - who phone do we have = Yup Jason's we are famous for unintentionally swapping phones and involving FEDEX - It isn't thanksgiving without that!!  I left a rather big bag of library books and movies too - win win!

Visit from the Cavallos

The Cavallo's were our buddies in Ashburn VA - and than they moved to Germany for 3 years - they came back this summer and looked us up as they were visit his family in Milford CT - we couldn't link up than, but managed to connect before the Thanksgiving week kicked off.  It was the perfect afternoon to hang out out side for a bit and than back in - 6 boys all together.
These 2 had never really met each other - But Janik knew there was a buddy at the Leadbetters for him!
trampoline and chicken time.
Nico and Nick were the buddies at the beginning - able to play so evenly and well together - loved capturing this photo of them getting the newspaper together on the big wheels just talking about school.
Managed to grab a group photo
Always a silly one.
And the adults too!
Thanks for making the time Cavallos!  Looks like we will have adventures to come as well!  Boy moms stick together =)!

We are nuts - and love a good project

I feel like when it comes to stuff like this, we are kinda sadistic.  We want to do it ourselves, but we don't have time (or necessarily the skill level.  So maybe we are learning our limits...  maybe.... So its time to bring Chris's office to the basement.
lets put up some studs - and hire some adult supervision.
Alan framed out the office and guest room in a day - added the future bathroom space too.
I learned how to wire and put in the plugs and light switches.  I have to admit - it was cool doing and I was up til 12:30 making light!!  Loved it!
next up, sheetrock.
There are definitely moments - like when Chris and I are hauling sheetrock down the garage shed if there will ever be a day that we just pay for project like this and don't get so involved...  I am guessing no....

WE had to put the project on hold for Thanksgiving - (and get the area's back to a 'kid play space") at least now they have light!!

Stay tuned - Alan has finished the sheetrock and now we are in charge of painting and floors....

Shane's Native American Day

Capture Shane in his Native American celebration - he had been working on the songs, dances and instruments for weeks in music class.  Thankful we have the time to be there!

His requirement that day was to wear tan earth colored clothing -
NAILED IT!
Also cool seeing him hamming it up with his best buddy Austin.
Random note on Shane - apparently his buddies have named hime Shaney Boo Boo - Seriously love it and kinda wonder how long it will stick.
For a little more Native American flavor I captures some videos for nostalgia

I cannot get enough of Shane's shy smile of (I see you, but don't want to tell you I do...)

Old Lady -

Look at this sweet face - she snores like a banshee
But after a good bath, she smelled really good.
Love the pet Value bath time for my old lady -
Pauli does love some good chicken sh$t - so I am trying to get her on the good side of smells.
