The days in Austria

Saturday morning started like this.... How can you have a bad day? I tried to capture this as best as possible. after this I knocked out some breakfast tacos for our crew;)

Next we went to the downtown in search of our pinnacle european purchase. Originally thought I could take an amazing photo, put it on a canvas and record it as the treasure. Than we found this store with this picture.

At first we spoke to a lady who spoke traditional German (saying it was not possible to purchase the 100x250 cm to take home, couldnt ship it, etc...) Than we spoke to the photographer (I'm thinking it was her son) and enjoyed his time immensely. We learned his process, the love for the detail, the fact that the lighting required for the photo is achievable maybe only once a year. We were sold! But I still had to try my hand at a few of my own... After feeling confident about our purchase we headed to the lake for a stroll through serenity,

Does it compare?

Ok.. Maybe the woods..

Love the red bench, can find it?

Seriously, I can't get enough!

Gotta add some people to the picture-here are some cuties...

Ok, I said serenity but let's be honest, nick was on his scooter (the path was a bit rocky, not optimum scooter terrain) and Shane wanted to ride his bike while 'shooting' the bad guys with his newly acquired plastic straw. So there were a few directional words spoken and a belt used to drag Shane along (Wyland Leadbetter style). Drew on the other hand enjoyed the entire ride!

Heres the Leadbetter family shot. Drew was sleeping too well for me to eject him from the stroller-he gets his own separate photo shoot later!

It was a nice Leadbetter family day. The rest of the crew headed to Salzburg which was a 1.5 hour drive, it was awesome getting back together that night and swapping adventures.

After the kids were in bed we enjoyed a lite American football and Michigan finally tackled OSU in a rather exciting thanksgiving weekend game.

And now Drew's photo shoot. Thanks Eleanor;) and thanks drew for being a sweetie, he gets an A+ in the travel department. Slept both ways, super flexible with the travel bed. Happy to be held by anyone, a bit nervous with little hands.. It's amazing how interesting a baby can be to kids! I would have never thought!

A Thanksgiving in Kitzbuhl Austria

What a beautiful weekend in Kitzbuhl and we are surrounded by folks with great cameras so it's been fun snagging photos from them of our further memories.

But this one is ours. We left stuttgart a clear cool day and hit fog in 45minutes. Right when the wind mills appears. I thought they looked surreal with the sun setting behind them. Can you find the one in the distance?

Now in the town of Kitzbuhl. The Christmas tree was just set up for the market that starts Friday, great timing aye? On Monday I witnessed them dragging a Christmas tree twice this size through the town of neuhausen, I was crushed not to have my camera... So imagine this...twice the size...

Can you feel how clean cool and crisp the air is?

How bout now?

Beautiful town

Chris loves to hike and I think it's killing him to not summit our surrounding mountains

Please don't make me join him

We had back packs on just in case, but the boys proved to not need them

Drew enjoyed loving from all around. (yes, I'm working on the red eye thing...)

Krissie's craft time

Gobble gobble nick!

Honestly, Travis was missing a few elements of his craft before he even started

Onto a creation I never dared to attempt. Krissie tried the cherpumkle (sure, spell check it, but i'm pretty sure I got it right) it's a creation with pumpkin, cherry, apple pies encompassed in a spice, vanilla, yellow cake, literally a feat of engineering....

Ok. We all have our struggles.... But it tasted amazng!

Can you identify all the ingredients?

Now its Thursday morning. Shane is strolling around thinking about turkey.

A little soccer before the pool-think calorie burn

Seriously, it's too beautiful

Drew was prepping for his walk

If I could make post cards

My walking pal

I grabbed my camera just as this tractor was climbing the hill

The turkey carving teacher-very systematic and the turkey was amazing,

Starting the spread

Cheers

A so it begins, the kid table

Did u like the turkey?

The post turkey stroll.

The Duelleys

The Hoffmans (with some photo bommers)

And the Leadbetters

The Leadbetters with drew

Drew seems to be a bit of a munchkin magnet. In this photo he is looking at Ben saying, you got my back right?

A little down time with a movie.... The boys got to be in charge of the iPad for a bit. As we checked in on them we commented that each time we went in, they were into a different movie... Guess their attention span isn't there yet

And cheers to another great thanksgiving with friends for family!

Hope you all had a thanksgiving surrounded by family and friends. Love stretches
