It rained literally ALL weekend! It was gross, it was cold, the boys played plenty of video games, we had other boys in the mix and Asa went to Massachusetts;)
My one request was a Sunday morning at church! The music is just wonderful—the boys are clearly in it for the breakfast;)Life is never dull for the Leadbetters - at least we would like to think so. Hope you enjoy keeping up with us as we grow as a family and tour Europe stumbling along the way

All in one day
Chris left his folks and sister in San Antonio due to arrive this afternoon, I flew out to park southern at 6am. We were confident Nick and Shane could get on the bus no problem, and Drew had the benefit or staying with Oma due and goomba. As I sat on the plane, I popped a quick message to Shona and Peter in case they were around to take Nora or a walk as she would be alone today. This was the photo they sent me. No one was schedule to be at the house. Gotta love solar city…… (and good neighbors).
Giving major kudos to my family and neighbors for tackling all those logistics!

Mother's Day
I am thankful Chris is spending Mother's day with HIS mom - which means I truly get spoiled by my boys - I am quite certain Chris was behind some yummy food purchases before he left - however the rest was left up to the boys and they were wonderful. Shane has 8:30 football games, so we started the morning off with a great game by Shane and mimosas with Ally because she is straight up wonderful! I love how she manages to make things look and feel so effortless.
Next, we came home, the boys let me go running and than cooked a delicious breakfast to enjoy outside—they did great!
Nick requested a little mountain bike ride as he was exploring his capability of biking to the hit club for batting practice. We found 2 different trails (one a bit easier than the other) the way back we heard some rustling in the leaves that startled us,-or really just made us bike that much faster….love this guys desire for independence;)
Next up—dressing up and doing a few chores for Oma Sue on Mother’s Day. Aren’t those the most adorable helpers?
Yummy dinner on the deck together;)
What a blessed Mother’s Day;)

While Chris is away
The rest of us will play - and Mom will call in LOTS of carpooling and life assistance.
Lets start with Friday night shingngans at the Briggs.
We had a bit of an early morning with the loud noises from the chickens. Alerting us to SOMETHING. Nick looked outside and saw feathers and a fox. He ran down and I came after him. The fox was startled by Nick, dropped the chicken. She walked a few steps to us and stopped. Nick grabbed her hoping to comfort her. I believe that was helpful. We brought her inside and set her up in the garage.
Sadly she was significantly injured
Even thought we tried to get her water and food, she died slowly laying her head on the 'spot it' container. Not the softest pillow, but something...
On a much brighter note - I have truly enjoyed hearing and knowing Chris is with the Madrays, the Carson's and his family. If you can believe it, this is the only photo he came back with (outside of photos from 134 Hickory that he was busily fixing up - from painting, garage door opener installation, mulching, weeding. Based on the adorable couple that moved in, it was completely worth it!
Love seeing these 2 faces together!

The Charron's come back to celebrate birthdays!
Yippee - first weekend in May and its a bit chilly. See all those sweatshirts on a hike. We met Cash for the first time and thrilled to have him join the hike with us.
Outstanding new England day
Back at the ranch its no surprise these 2 are loving the motor biking
We got to celebrate all together - cocktails and all
Look at the birthday team choosing their personal festive cakes!
With so many weekends apart it was nice to have a few so close together to get things feeling back to normal. Hearing all the voices sing happy birthday with the ChaChaCha and lady gaga doing the chacha is always a favorite. such a treasure that these 2 share the day.
