Living room project

A little furniture relocation (yes, back to a previously used location) followed by a little installation and purging!  We have the best helpers.
IN an airport, coming home from Cleveland - late night arrival due to connecting flights, but somehow this Aperol spritz takes me back to a vacation with my favoirte people.
New dogs beds getting broken in
Gotta tuck this cutie in!
Love how she pulls everything together with colors and spacing.
Love how the curtains get to stay and add the flair that I originally made them for.  Thank you Caitlyn and Lynn.
Favorite view with this handsome gentleman enjoying his coffee!  While I see the allure of this artwork and how it all works together, we are opting out and adding a gallery wall instead.
Can you guess who really loved the cool new ottoman??  Who knew it could also store an adorable 11 year old.

Dc Trip

Anyone get to go to Washington DC for 8th grade?  I did and had such fond memories - so much so, I was excited to go back?  Well sort of.  Shane's 8th grade class was headed down at the end of April and they didn't need any chaperones?
I mean can you imagine?
They kept it all teachers and school staff.  I happened to have a well-timed inspection as my DC project was coming to a close.  THat paired with a good 'stalking buddy'.  Diane and I hit the streets to find the Shaney Boo boo!
Look who we found!!
I didn't want to be too much of a bother - but was thrilled to say hi to some of our favorite chaperones!  I can imagine this guy is in his glory right now.  Such a natural educator.  Thankful my kids have him in their lives.
We even managed to capture a photo of the foursome.
Thankful for this near perfect weather!  I mean it was AMAZING!  The sun setting, the temperature.  It was impossible NOT to take a photo.
Diane and I walked a TON - it was just so beautiful.  There were COUNTLESS 8th grade tour groups, every moment had a teacher speaking about the history behind it.  The city was so alive!  LOVED being there.
Love the quirky things that Diane gets inspired to do.
We each found our state!
Loved getting a few more photos from Shane's teacher chaperones.
Meanwhile - the mission of my visit was this wrap up BBQ for the 800 Southern Ave contractors.  After 30+ months their team of many was whittling down to few.  This was our opportunity to thank them for their tireless work that INCLUDED a pandemic!  Thankful that I had the opportunity to work with this impressive team - Rohan, Miah, Max, myself and Mike
The final unit punch!
Its not 100% but the units are DONE!  Thankful thankful thankful!

Fun things in April

A few fun things from April.  Caitlynn and Lynn out favorite decorating duo were helping pull together our living room.  The painting here was supposed to be the focal point of the living room - he just got moved to a less than focal point in the dining room - aka, vetoed.
The photo pretty much sums up Nick's life on JV baseball.  He pitched quite a bit and spent the rest of his time at 2nd base.  Great hitting too.
Drew was at my folks helping with some chores when the pooches disturbed a little Bunnie nest.  They chased the bunnies and kinda caught one.  But Drew saved it and rest with him for a sec.
He loved laying down feeling the bunnies heart stop racing so fast.  Sweet that the bunny felt save enough to stay with Drew for a bit too.
Back to the living room - I LOVE homework assignments - this was our first time.  Whitewash the brick.  And when Caitlynn says whitewash, she really meant, just paint it white.  We did a few coats on a perfectly dreary Sunday.
Loved how they moved around the wood furniture to space everything out and at the same time, pull the room together.  More to come.  Guessing there are new dogs' beds in our future too.

A little escape to VT while Nick tears up Orlando!

Lets rewind a bit - here we go off to VT - loaded up!  Dogs, boys, food, skis, bikes, could we have any more gear?
This is my making coffee morning view.  just BEAUTIFUL with my 2 girls.   Loved waking up here.
See that opening in the ice - that is where Nora jumped in last night causing me to have an almost heart attack!  Its April and this lake is still rather frozen.  Drew is still dying to fish.
Nice chilly breakfast with some of my favorite people!  Love this deck seat and railing!
love how wonderful the VErmont air feels.
Drew and I spooed off the ice in homes of it drying out for fishing.  Meanwhile Nora kept rushing after the ice pieces scaring us about getting back in the clearly very cold water!
Snap from our Disney world traveler.  Think its competition morning over there!
What a difference a nice warm day makes - the lake looks MUCH different now right?
What a handsome model right?  I came downstairs and wanted to capture this right away!
Love when the sky picks up the sunsetting color.
Drew and I found some kayaks and decided to explore.  No light jackets which made me nervous only because it was so cold!
Can you see the cat tail in his hands.  Fun for a bit and maybe get the fish biting?
Was trying to capture the boy and his dog - loved seeing them walk along the shoreline together.
Shane capturing us!
I really cannot believe THIS is still happening.  Slushy snow with shorts on.
Another snap from our missing kid!  I know he loves it when I save his snaps.
Headed up with these bombers!
I encouraged my folks to join us and they just made it up!  Lunch at the lodge with everyone.  Such a beautiful working view for Chris and I while the kids have fun.  My folks have never really experienced the spring skiing vibe.
moments like these are the BEST
Drew was enamored with the little ice crystals.  They sounded so cool having the paddle go through them.
Drew is quite the kayaker - almost hard to keep up!
Great place to work from today - The moguls were a bit softer than normal.  But what is normal for April?  guessing the answer to that is soft.
WE poked around the area and had dinner at the local golf course that ended up opening early that next morning.  Chris took the boys and rented some clubs and enjyoued the fresh green grass.

our family shot before leaving.
meanwhile in Disney - this kid - living his best life!  Roomates were Reese, Tate and Liam!

Pooches

Princess and the pea - she will sleep on ALL the pillows if you let her!
So, here's a Nora story - we drove 3 hours to escape to an adorable Airbnb near Killington (while nick is in Disney with the band!).  We arrived late that night.  Nora was TIRED of being in the car, she hopped out and walked right now the 100+stairs and jumped RIGHT into the water.  ICY water.  I totally freaked out and thought this is where we loose her.  It's so cold she is going to drown.....  She managed to get out as I was trying to get her and pull her out.  Bottom line is I think she loved it and I wished I knew what the pond even looked like!

Here she is drying off at our cute VRBO
That night she slept by my bed with this adorable pillow.
