Nora turns 10 - more soocer even a little football!

Nick is ALL in on soccer season.  His drive and dedication shows on the field and it even earned him a slot on several varsity games.  I love getting these photos from John Senecal!
Its a favorite!
Meanwhile - guess who is double digits!  10 years for our old lady.  Lately she is forming such a cool bond with Nick.  He makes sure she gets upstairs every night and sleeps in his room.  I would like to think its helpful for her legs - but also adorable for the 2 of them.
Meanwhile - this adorable thing finds all the best places to take a snooze
Friday night and the one home football game for Canton (since we share with Granby)  it was awesome to see the ENTIRE town out supporting with spirit!
I was excitedly capturing the crowd.  I sent these photos along to Christen Cuniowski, John Bishop and even the principal - only CC wrote back saying she could believe I caught the guy who thought wearing 'that' sweatshirt to a HS football game was a good idea......  Can you find it?
Yes - Nick was all in with the spirit wear!
Meanwhile Drew was pumped to celebrate Brayden's birthday!!  He joined us a bit late at the football game.

Conference in Austin - Yes please

I had a CLAHO conference in Austin and excited to extend to spend some time with our favorite people!  Finishing up work in this beautiful community space.
Took an Uber to Chelcy's and showed up right as she was finishing up work and transitioning into football mom life.  Such a bonus having her folks in town this weekend too!
This is the FRESHMAN team.  They have 2 of them.  An A team and B team.  High school is HUGE!  Evan loved being on the football team and great to see him out there.  Seriously in denial that he is a freshman.  He was telling me about the pep rally they hosted at the school the following day for the varsity game.  Super cool!
Love that we could squeeze in a dinner and the Mexican restaraunt that I LOVED!  Dol Salsa's.  Always a wait but always worth it!  Margaritas and all!
My work office for the day - adorable right?
Friday night I popped over to my cousins Greg and Carrie in Round Rock - Great catching up with them and seeing their haunts.  Life is so different when you move somewhere new and work virtual.  You really can be quite mobile!
Saturday morning at this beautiful house and grounds that Evan helps to take care of.  They have some really cool large bird houses, plenty of trails, super cool Texas flowers and landscaping.

Last May they had a crazy wildfire that was put out through plans dropping water and other fre stoppers.  Chelcy's' family saw it all unfold as it all came way too close to their own neighborhood.

Truly beautiful Texas area right here.
Really loved the time just being with Chelcy and being part of her day-to-day life with family.  Felt so very good!
Satrurday morning breakfast tacos and Tom preps some DELICIOUS Texas Tech tailgating food!

We toured Georgetown village and took the kiddos with us to the airport.  Snap chatting eachother along the way.  Great kiddos and loved being able to get some time with them as well - even if it was in the car!
Final Airport selfie - THANKs for the time Carsons and letting be move in for a bit!
Gues breakfast tacos really do travel well.  Next time I need to pack THIS GUY in my suitcase!

Family, Soccer, Dogs

Doesn't this photo just ooze relaxation?!
Nice win by the Cyclones - Drews team.  I love the team run across the field
A little Brayden Birthday party gathering.
Chris put the cornhole tables together - Drew and I painted them.  Not bad right?
Meanwhile - check out these irresistible photos snuggling at the soccer game.
Sweet sisters.

The Carlson's take on Mt. Washington

Labor Day weekend and we wanted to enjoy time together in New Hampshire exploring an area on my mom's bucket list.  The MT.  Washington Cog train is scheduled and on our list.  Here are the 2 pooches making themselves right at home in the VRBO that is pretty much downtown North Conway.  We loved it!  Rather old home that had been updated.
We had to leave Shane behind to look at dapper for Max and Alley Wires Bai' Mitzvahs.  The Briggs took him in as family - dressed them up and got to hear all about the service and the after party that had bull riding, hypnotist, and an epic trampoline!
Meanwhile - a blue bird day at Hotel Mt. Washington (not where we stayed, only where we explored and golfed) The view is striking
Loved be able to explore and take in the beautiful scenery
A portion of it was clearly under construction
Loved this rooftop bar area complete with AstroTurf playground for the crew

NIce family shot right?  missing Shane of course, but also missing Nick who was off exploring
Re-Take - With Nick!
The boys headed off golfing and we headed out hiking along the golf course and this beautiful stream.  Streams are nature and dogs playground

Loved the beauty of these tall trees
We were back in time for the ice cream social - 2 helpings please!
Love the shops in downtown North Conway - this was a favorite!
Loved these metal prints too

The next day was the scheduled cog train - these guys opted to hike!
Stacie and I took these 2 for a nice morning jog
Photos from the hikers
They made it to the top in impressive time (and had to wait on us)
Loading up on the Cog rail.
headed up!
Also headed up!

At the top

Headed back down
The stream at the bottom is actually run off from the top and its quite chilly/refreshing
Jason went to college in this area and remembered mirror or echo lake as a beautiful lake with the mountain back drop.  We googled it and started driving towards it.  This was the first shot.  Not as advertised.......

Next up - the GPS took us to the top looking DOWN on the lake - we saw some folks repelling and hiking, but no one swimming.  Strike 2
FOUND IT!  Right was they were closing - but swimming at our own risk was just fine.
Beautiful little spot!
Great capture!
Fun weekend all together in a great little house, game garage, hot tub and all.  Happy to go back with this crew!
