New Years Eve at Okemo

One of the COVID perks we are noticing - lines aren't too long at the lift and if you make a reservation - the lodging is VERY accommodating.  Look at all this space!
No pictures on the slpes today but managed to get us all still in our snuggly ski stuff ringing in the New Year together.  Here's to a surely memorable 2020 and ringing in the adventures of 2021!
This crew truly has adventures to come

Winter hike with the Wisneskis!

The Wisneskis often make the trek from VA to CT.  With Wayne's big family we don't often get the time with them, but Diane managed to carve some out for us over the holidays and we were thrilled!

Thankful this crew is an outdoor hiking bunch.  I will admit the weather was CHILLY
Once we got into the woods it wasn't as breezy

Are kids are the Bomb!!
Little treasures along the way
We got them to come back for a family dinner and some game time too.  Win Win!

MT Snow here we come!

The adventure family ski season continues - Snowy grey skies, skis on and lets roll!

This day ended as the kids coined the universal sign for waffles (translated by the flopping of their gloves or mittens)  Chris indulged them this go around as a tribute from his folks and their Christmas cash sponsorship!

Luminaries Day!

The day after Christmas and this is such a treasure to me.  I LOVE when the kids come in to snuggle but those times seem so much less these days.  So here is a favorite moment.
Even better with a slightly sweeter Drew face
Today is neighborhood luminaries day.  Its just a joy seeing all the families with kids back from college or young families joining for the first time.  I love the assembly and delivery.  This year we were a bit more spaced out with COVID considerations.  The kids loved the truck transport.  They neighborhood was filled.
The night was PERFECT.  we loved the stroll that included Frey road.  Folks had campfires going, neighbors and friends joining.  Felt like such a beautiful Christmas extension.

Christmas Day

While I love capturing a photo or 2 during the excitement - the true joy was having us all snuggled in together for Christmas morning.

Christmas Eve

Rather dreary Christmas eve - to we to do the luminaries.  Well suited for a family meal, church service and game time.  Exactly what is on the agenda.
But first, Christmas tree head
This is the 6pm ringing of the bells outside (ILO of luminaries for tonight) - Any comments on the gnomes!?  looks like we have 2 sets =)

Love the late tree add to the decor
Christmas love
This photo is SO hazy you can't even see Santa walking through the neighborhood - delivering PJS so all adorable kiddos get a good night sleep!
Lets dig in!
Oma Sue and Goomba are included this time!!  Sleepover tonight.
Love that we took a moment to capture everyone (treasures for me)

Even Nora is posing for this one!
Loved the family dominos game - kiddos are even getting PJ cozy!
Prepping the coffee pot for Christmas morning!
Loved having us all under one roof for tonight - that is truly a Christmas gift

New Toys with Goomba

Drew is always so excited to head over to my folks for the afternoon, sleepover, you name it.  My folks say he is helpful, curious, and overall fun to hang with.  THIS time Drew learned a new trick -
He was a fast learn.  Loved the safety lesson and respect for the bebe gun.
Not a bad first shot!

We got snow!

WE made another cross country loop.  I hope to continue to enjoy that my kids still enjoy doing this.  First fluffy snow of the season, blazing a trail, testing the equipment after being stored for the season.
Love seeing how nature gets through snow storms.  I am imagining these 2 birds nestled in here.  The dad bird periodically during the storm, clearing the exit just enough to not let it pile up too much.
These guys really are the best bakers.  Drew found his stashed away cookie recipes and unleashed 2 of his favorites on us.
A cardinal - a visit from someone special.
Our cross country path and back yard adventure course got a bit of an upgrade =)

Check out Nick!

Friends Christmas

Plenty of things would be different about Christmas this year, to say we made the most of it was an understatement.  Love our tribe and the joy I feel looking at these photos again.
I really don't think these kids can get any cuter.
I would also like to point out that I think Drew matches the table clothe
Holiday creations at their best.

A fun festive night with some favs - heart heart heart the holidays
