The virtual Christmas card

It takes great restraint for me to not send Christmas cards out this year. But with Drew's birth announcement in October and our upcoming move I figured the postoffice and your mail boxes would be full.. So here is the Leadbetter Christmas card.

A few days in the beauty of Germany GAP

We took a few days to spend some time among the mountains of Germany, which was nice since the weather prediction for Stuttgart was rain rain rain, it would be too sad to watch all the snow disappear, so we left.

The drive was 90% rain, but the last 10% was beautiful snow. Chris drove after just landing from his trip from VA (trooper to say the least). Friday morning we woke up seeking out the high profile sledding. We were the only ones...


Chris and nick took the gondola up with our wood sled. 1-1/2 hours later we saw them again.

Nick was full of stories, mostly of dad walking pulling him along the sticky parts... He had a blast! He handed me the sled saying it was my turn with Shane, maybe not.


Nick and I walked up the final 98% of the slope to enjoy a quick ride





Than my mom and I took the gondola up..... With every intention of taking it back down.


But enjoying the scenery every step of the way


This is my practice with the camera again and I love this one. I guess I could be annoyed by the clouds or embrace them

That night we booked a babysitter and headed out to bei Marcus - a treasured location discovered by Brian McCullough - just as magnificent as the first night.

A packed day of the Christmas celebration

My folks received less than 24 hours to acclimate and start their tour.n time of the essence!! Wednesday was time at the Stuttgart weihnachtsmarkt.

A truly beautiful market, lots to choose from, rather sprawling, well decorated-to say the least, I would say one of the best I have attended. Hands down the best

The snow is finally here!!

What a true joy to wake up to, Nick and I watched it come down in front of the street light this morning. Snow is just beautiful and relaxing in my opinion. The boys were thrilled to grab their snow suits and walk to kindi. It took longer - but the process was worth it.

Finally back home from the 45 minute drop off process. Drew and I were about covered in snow - Just beautiful!!



My folks arrive at 1 so I want to thank them for the advanced snow package!! The best kindi morning yet. Chris is out in Virginia with his folks doing a quick search of the home and checking into office life. I did have tears in my eyes as I think about our days being numbered here. These mornings are a true treasure.
