4th of July

4th of July - with my folks and the pool - #perfect!

Got to scoot over to celebrate our little firecrackers birthday with some fire crackers - Drew was honestly smitten with Andrew over the weekend.  He would get off his bike and grab his water bottle for him.  He would do anything he asked.  Loved seeing Drew be so kind and helpful to someone!

Loved being able to see the awe in his eyes too - happy birthday kiddo!

2nd Annual Mountain bike weekend

Love that this is year 2 that we get to embark on this planned yearly tradition.  To go to this beautiful serine place and bike so very hard!!  Not many families who are willing to do this as a couple AND have their kids look forward to it too - glad we found each other.  Now lets kill it

The kids are no slouches - Sunday morning they had a camp for a few hours while the adults destroyed themselves on the trails.  I have to admit to loving a good up hill!

Dinner time - don't the girls always sit on one side and the boys another - maybe the is a little far??

Breakfast every morning is a crowd pleaser as the kids get to order off the menu and everything is included!  For the record - its SUPER hot this weekend - meaning 90s!! (so hot we had to change rooms and the wind unit AC just wasn't cutting it on the second floor - best move EVER)  But I digress, the reason I brought it up, it beau case Frankie is sipping Hot coco - crazy!  the rest are coming!

Sunday we were so hot the pool wasn't even enough - we hit the stream down by the town to cool off.

The rushing water was exactly what our legs needed.

Not sure why they bother hiking their shorts up - they know they are just going to get soaked right??

Here comes summer

As the last day of school approaches I get super anxious about what the summer will bring for all of us together - I honestly just pray everyone will do their best to be kind to everyone - all included.

Because ready of not - here they come!

I almost didn't look back to beginning of the year as I was thinking, how different can they be??  Holy moly - seriously??  Who are these kids!

No wait, who are these kids and what is on your head??  Happy last day of school lake day!  If only they jumped in the water with those one.  They would appreciate the full lack of absorbency of the swim diaper!

Soccer in VT

We arrived Friday afternoon and moved into our 3 family suite - which was sweet!!  Huge too.  Beautiful night and the kids got to playing and all of a sudden we didn't really know where they were - until we found them down here - hysterical and awesome at the same time.  Kinda proud of them!

Saturday morning Nick had an early game these 2 yahoos and I got the pool to ourselves - 

Roller coaster is my favorite aspect of this place  - would be happy doing it time and time again.

I went with Drew first as he can't ride solo.  Shane was in front of us - solo and since you can control your own break - shane - being solo - was nervous and didn't go fast.  Pretty sure he held up the entire 7th grade - so the next round we went together - and got to go a little faster - nice to know shane doesn't have the need for speed quite yet!

Here is the team Shane got to play on.  He wasn't on travel this year, so being asked to be part of the team for the tournament was quite an honor - scoring a goal for them in one of the games was the icing on the top - glad to see he fit right in.

Sour hot day and they played at 1;30-3 - yikes right??

Nothing like a delicious beer and dinner on the way home in an adorable VT town.  The drive home along 7 was beautiful!

Of course the adults got involved too - everyone loves a painted mountain lion photo.

Great call on the 3 family suite - loved the hot tub time and thanks to hailey for a Saturday morning run - Yes, a house ANYWHERE around secret lake would be pretty fab!!
