Last Day of School

Well they made it - last day of school for this bunch.  Do you think they are excited?  ready??
Shane is first.
Drew is next
hmmm......  apparently this freshman doesn't have to go to school.  Finals are DONE
This is what he does on the last day.  Cart around his dogs.
Love that we ahve fun neighbors that make the last day feel so festive.  this is my favorite minute to win it game.  So focused, so quiet!  So rewarding.  Marshmallows!
So I bought toilet paper and Chris DID NOT approve.  So that is the next minute to win it game.  Mummy wrap.  Loved how everyone partnered up - especially the last pair.

There is one of Shane and Billy in here somewhere.

everyone love the Oreo on the forehead game!
LEts finish it off with some yummy ice cream treats
School is over success!!

Sundown Beer feast

Living in Canton CT for 3 weeks shy of 8 years and this is our FIRST sundown beer fest.  Each year the signs go out and our schedule fills up.  Can you believe this year we were ALL available?!  Chris and I bike there too for added hometown feel.  Great day and PLENTY of beers to sample.
Blessed to be with this group of dudes.
Amen to the food trucks - tacos were delish - road home and challenged the kids to a wiffleball game (that they crushed us at!)

The things we keep

My mom is in a good constant state of cleaning out the basement.  These are some recent treasures.  The blue vase was perfect for my sister.  The other 2 vases are actually were made out of old coffee cans by Uncle Mick.  Back in the 1970s!
Holding onto these!

Memorial Day at the Charrons'

We took this weekend off of sports coordination and headed to my sister's.  Love getting the crews together and sometimes schedules make it more of a challenge than we would like.  We joined them at Jackson's baseball game.  Love capturing these 2 sharing a seat.
Taking a moment to appreciate the adults out to dinner with out a significant (or any!) babysitter cost!
Thankful my sister split this margarita sampler with me.  It looked fun, but it wasn't good.  And we are finishers...
The hot toy - this VR - lucky we got to borrow it for a bit.  Drew LOVES it.
A little hair cut maintenance going on here.  Nothing like a back yard area for the salon.  I can't believe we didn't take a pool picture.  Its one of the reasons we are even up here!  We are celebrating their new inground pool.  HEATED and all.
Little mini put adventure at their nearby haunt
We went out as a crew to see Top Gun Maverick and it was fabulous!!  SO incredibly well done.  MUST see.  Good for the whole family.
When we came back we got to have a late night dip in the pool - perfection!
WE had to head home Sunday night to make it for the Memorial day parade.  Love the little creations these kiddos make when they have time without screens.
Chilling in a shady spot waiting for the parade
The final creation
Here they come!
Here comes the HS band!  The real reason we are here!  They look great.  I have a video too.
WE followed them back to the cemetery.  They had a few speeches from the local leaders.  They also played taps.  I captured Grace Asmar up here as she echoed the taps.
Simple well done ceremony

Fun may stuff

Drew is on the Redsox Jim Miller is the coach - Chris is the best often offering to help coach when needed.  This team had its growing pains but really ended the season well.
This one continues to play ball whether on the field or on the wiffle ball field.  Kudos to the Algren's for not only hosting this bunch, but capturing a photo too.
Is it that time of year?!?  Sure it and how lucky we are to be able to soak in the summer sun on the boat with our people.

The summer vibe is really the best

A little boat driving practice
Surfing is now top of everyone's list and Mr. Briggs is about to slug some beer while surfing taking it to the next level of cool dad antics.
I love love love these kiddos together.
Love capturing one with my guy too.  Today just feels good!

CIS Band Concert

CIS put instrument learning on hold for 4th grade but it came back for 5th grade.  Drew was ALL ABOUT his trombone.  Played it TONS.  and now they all get to play  It wonderful to see what Mr. B can do with these young students.
We honestly loved sitting outside.  Again - if we could keep this AFTER COVID too please.
Can you spot our little musician?
They paired it well with the art show, so we got to pop in and see what creations he made.  This is the one he said he was most proud of.
I personally loved this one, but I am a fall leaves kind of girl.
The next day was a field trip.  We recently set the boys up with savings and checking accounts.  He has a debit card associated with his checking out.  It was kinda fun watching the $1.75, $5,67 little costs pop up and hearing his tail about what and why he purchased something.  Mostly drinks and snacks =)
Later this week the HS band joined the CIS band.  I LOVED that his teacher Mrs. Trucio captures this for us.
Here they are both playing.  I know they may not play instruments forever, but I love that they are right now.

He is headed to the DANCE

Middle school dances are where it all begins - having fun together - good music.  Get used to it boys - these dances are meant to be fun and you guys are meant to go to them!  Nick missed out on middle school dances due to that COIVD thing.....  Now they are awkward HSer's - gotta get used to it in middle school!
Thanks to the Bernabucci's to hosting this crew before the dance.

These boys sure are something.
We hosted the adults inbetween drop off and pick up.  Nice to get to see them too!  Great spring evening
