Now let's head to OC Maryland with the Wisneski's and Sherry & Michael's wedding!

There is something about the beach that is almost more enjoyable OFF SEASON.  So here we are in Ocean City Maryland with the Wisneskis - not as crowded, EXCPET for the car show which proved to be a great little highlight on the roads.  Love how we turned this weekend into time spent with such a treasured family.

Love that Alaine and I captured a photo with the beautiful bride.  Alaine stayed at the house with Sherry and was SUER helpful in the creation of everything.  Loved the chance to catch up with her too.

same beautiful smiles girls - something about being with your friends from college that makes you feel like you are back there.  Just for the night.

Now for the charming couple.  These 2 are so adorable together, happy adventuring, big city living, cat parenting, apartment owning, fun loving.  There is something so life rewarding to see a couple pair up so well.  So happy for the both of them to go through life together.

More college buddies to catch up with and ring the dinner bell.  Such personalities.

Next day - stroll along the beach, a little fishing, a little thrift store fishing, no shark fishing....

The boys took a boat out fishing and we linked up with her teacher friend to see what its like to actually LIVE here.  AMAZING really.

Diane's teacher friend hosted a fire on the beach - complete with permit (and yes we were ASKED more than once if we had a permit) the perfect end to a nice weekend away.

I went home with the Wisneskis and headed to 800 Southern Ave the next day - but NOT WITHOUT SEEING THE BIGGEST SQUASH EVER!  What's up farmer Wayne!

Thankful for the weekend being together and the bonus night I got with their family, seeing a Blake ball game and hearing about Anna's friend's wedding weekend.

 

Drew is 11

The youngest member of the Leadbetter crew is celebrating today!  We feel he is getting more and more curious with each year.  With no end in site - he is in constant motion unless you wrap him up in a good book.  Today was a 1/2 day at school and a FRIDAY.  What more can a kid want.  Pop that birthday hat on, let open some gift and head on a road trip!

And the gift he has been pining over since we visited my sister's family months ago - his own VR!  To think he gets to open that and then needs to get in the car for 7 hours were it just isn't going to work properly.  To say he is a resilient kid is often times and understatement.

Happy birthday Drew - dinner is on the road!  Love you dude!  Our family sure wasn't complete without you.

Shane is headed to work with me - IN CLEVELAND

My birthday gift to Shane is a work trip - WITH ME!  With upcoming Jewish holiday Shane didn't have school Wednesday.  So, lets go to CLEVELAND together.   With each work trip, I have truly enjoyed this city more and more.  My hotel is rather close to the stadium - but I never seem to have anyone to go with!  I asked my boss if it was o.k. to bring him along just this once.  I am blessed with how supportive he was!

Key to keeping traveling Shane happy?!  Snacks, McDs before departure, Annies Pretzel bites at the layover.

Not bad seats since our mission was to see the game and snag a homerun - there were a few right by us.

Shane is quite the travel partner.  Not a lot of needs (snacks) up for anything, chill.  I could use a few extra words - but other than that - happy to travel with this guy anywhere - love this special trip.

Sunday - Funday SHANE'S BIRTHDAY!!  He is a TEENAGER.  He played soccer on his birthday!  He played against SIMSBURY on his birthday.  CANTON WINS!  Look at this soccer dude.  He loves the sport and loves being on the field.

I might be bias - but he does have the best coach - This is the final year Chris will coach these guys - to include his middle son.  He has turned these boys into good sports and good young men.  Love this view of the post-game huddle!

Next to enjoy some DELICIOUS sushi and chicken fried rice for the birthday boy!  Love this full house!

Keep the celebration going with more surprises from the neighborhood.  This modest guy with a kind heart.  Take everything to heart and tries so hard (often behind the scenes as being the center of attention is not his favorite place)

Shane - we love the person you are turning into every day.  Now if only it would just slow down?  Or maybe rewind for just a day to that sweet cuddly hugging machine straight out of the crib.
