Started the day doing some much-needed stretching with sparky. We LOVED getting to know sparky - such a sweet mild-mannered dog, doesn't bark, loves walks and truly a wonderful addition to their family. They are all so fortunate!
Boys took the kiddos golfing today unique to be on the base and the course was apparently designed by Robert Trent Jones (completely lost on me!)
Farrah and I hit some local shops for souveiners and things that I really didn't need but just had to have!
Farrah insisted that we walk every aisle, I was amazed by what they had, from bowls, toe animal gear to stationary. I have never been in a store like this. We laugh so hard at all the little things - I want to remember not being able to stay quite on the bus, buy what I thought was hand lotion that turned into body wash, going to the skin care place and having her recommend MUCH stronger stuff for eye cream.... Just a blast.
Back in the car to do a little grocery shopping which is equally as entertaining for me. Especially when this adorable car goes rolling by.

Dinner was a Korean BBQ - Owen included!
Had to try the rice wine, didn't know by trying it I got a whole bottle!
Another set of matching PJs and this time Farrah and I got to match - I will admit, I wear them more than just PJs, they are everyday wear for me.
Family game night!! no phones allowed - kids went to bed and we had to stay up watching the American Gladiator documentary. Now that was something!
Next day the orchestrated another 9-passenger van rental and surprised the kids with a paragliding trip. I have NEVER done this, nor did I ever think we would. But Farrah raved about it and Brian said it wasn't that bad. So, if we are going to do it somewhere, may as well be a place where you just don't speak the language and you have the ultimate faith in the guys launching with you right?!?!

Meanwhile this lady wasn't scared at all. She would have done flips if you let her! she asked for the spins and whatever they would throw at her.
The takeoff wasn't bad at all - gotta say that was the only reason I said yes, jumping out of a plane.... no, running off of a mountain, sure.
Had to take a video to one day remind myself that I did it.
The rest of the cew has videos too I just need to figure out how to get them off their phones and up here.
Here is the passenger van to head back up the moutain. They kept wanting to shuttle us back up, but I had to wait for Shane! He was the last one to jump. Excited to see him in the air.
One of the guides was adorable and very insistent in getting these fun captures for the family. Apparently Harry Potter is alive and well out here!
There was a BEAUTIFUL field of flowers that we HAD to stop and take photos.
Again with the construction photo - anyone want to venture a guess as how much this site costs to run each day? I can't even!
Their favorite dumpling place was open and we had to stop! The timing was impecable!
Time for a true Korea haircut for Chris while we spent the time wandering the PX that is WALKING distance from their house! This afternoon was fun just doing everyday things. That was always my favorite part of life with the McCulloughs. The adventures are wonderful, but everyday life with them is just unmatched.
It was A LONG time to host family and they did it as if they loved every minute =)! Brian even took every day off of work which was such an honor. Part of it was a vacation for them, but all of it was orchestrated by them and we cannot thankful them enough. it was truly an epic adventure that will never be forgotten by our families. Toasting with our new Diaso cups.
Face masks and Euchre anyone? I have a footpeel on too. 
Wednesday was our last day - we actually fly out this afternoon. But that didn't stop the planning for one last day. I woke up early and tried to get Nick out of bed to join me to see the base alive with soldiers doing PT. It was crazy seeing it because everything had changed and nothing had changed, same solders, same ones motivated, same ones needing the motivation and same ones doing the motivating. Loved being around it, but not in it. I took sparky and of course forgot a poop bag, so after leaving Nick, had to circle back.
Brian is always making/doing something - wine was his latest creation and look who made the label! Schmoopy from 12 years ago in Lucca! and we got to travel home with 2 bottles! Best McCullough souvenir
Kids took a solo adventure through the local city (don't get lost, we gotta fly home tonight! or wait, maybe get lost... we can stay!)
Farrah had one more hike up her sleeve, this one Pinnacle Mountain. It was beautiful and I am thankful we did it. Really, I am. I am also just amazed by the steps we covered. Farrah is in amazing shape and don't let her tell you otherwise!

Meanwhile, its also a training location for the military. Today was the perfect training day. They boys ran ahead to try to catch a better view.

Farrah and I tried to catch up - the helicopter was so close! We were trying to find the guys and made it to the summit. meanwhile, completely oblivious that we may have been in the way of another landing...... Oooooppss. At least we found our guys.

Still besties after all those year and lately as those miles!

Amazing to take in how uniquily different everything is done in a different culture. I am thankful that Farrah made sure no experience was left undone. She was amazing
We had a final lunch in the town outside the gate and came home to clean up and head out.
I still can't believe she didn't mind seeing this in the hallway over the last 10 days. Guess it is the sign of a good time, or messy Leadbetter boys.

This was by FAR the fullest vacation we have ever embarked on. So much to see and do followed by truly full hearts. I cannot believe it's been 14 years that we have known and traveling together. It feels like a lifetime and I cannot imagine a life without these guys in it. These are truly life changing friendships. Thank you, God!
