New Year Eve Day and Night

Cheers to some NEW traditions.  How about a New Years Day hike to see the final sunset of the year.  Fabulous idea Farrah and the afternoon was SO ideal for it.
Equip with kid and adult champagne!  Here so the bench Bozos
Beyond thankful for these days and memories - Love that we really had/have no diea where this life will take us, but taking each new adventure with grace.
Kinda sums up these 2 adorable kids.  Love that we had Ashley time for the hike.

Re-creation of a photo from 9 years ago!
Meredith was in from Germany and debating her next mission - thankful she got some time with Farrah and Brian to relate with the uncertainty of their next steps and commiserate together.  Meredeith is one of those folks that is super positive and willing to always see the bright side.  The world is better with HER in it.

Loved getting this rainy walk with her brother and nephew.
Let the evening activities commense - a New Year progressive starting at the Canny's
Ending at the Izzos with LOTS of Twin gaming.
Cheer to friends - love you all!

The home Christmas celebration

Love the Chrismas gift mistro - He keeps the celebrations moving along.  Also ador the Charlie brown tree - always a favorite and lasts FOREVER
Didn't realize these boys could get move handsome.
Hugs from Grandma and mad money!!
WE get a bonus pooch for the time too while the McCullough enjoy time with their VA besties
Nora get a ramp for Christmas - now the real question is how to get her to use it.

Final Chapter of the CO trip

A few final photos and favas from the trip - Great town area
Love the lights on the frsico trees.
May's teach us how to make their famous Red and Green Enchiladas!
The final day is an IKON black out.  Rather than pay the $$ we opt for a little explring which started with a hike nearby - love the crunch of the snow under our feet.

Great photo from Mary!!  Love that she captured this.
Plenty of ICE = SOLID

We drove the LONG loop going by the Airforce academy and a few other towns before finishing up with a WHATA Burger for everyone except Nick and I (I am getting on board with wrestling cutting season!)  enjoyed finishing off some of our drinks and bringing home the peanut butter.)!  Worth a few laughs looking back on!

Tournament WIN!

Thats right!!  Cheers to this team!!  They came out on fire and crushed the tournament.  This year is such a joy to watch Shane on the court.  He works super hard, is in great shape, he is aggressive and not afraid to be in charge.  Love the baller he is turning out to be.
This season just FEELS good!  Congrats Warriors - its a new Era.

Hitting the slopes

First day in the books - chilly, and plenty of snow.  Copper is the athlete mountain, not sure why, but happy to be part of that.  Managed to both loose and FIND my mitten.  That is a WIN
Cant do this too much longer.  Thank you to both Sarah May and Drew for making this possible in each car.

Skiing does make my heart happy.

Christmas eve service in Frisco at a local church with a live nativity.  Frisco served it up just perfectly.

The evening finished with EVERYONE on 1 couch watching Die Hard.  I won't say that EVERYONE stayed awake, but that wasn't the goal.

A little Christmas morning fun
More pet love
Back on the slopes
The re-cap of a successful day.

We are headed to Colorado!

A bit of a humorous bumpy road at the airport upon departure on this early morning.  Mary's birthday wasn't inputted correctly, and the TSA line was bonkers.  Thankfully we ALL MADE it Mays minus some breakfast that they grabbed from inflight.  Drew got the bonus of saying the inflight prep over the load speaker and checking out the cockpit.
Most efficient rant car pick up EVER!  These boys look pretty snuggly.
Quick stop in Glendale falls for a delicious margarita and lunch.  I do love this little town.
Meanwhile back in CT -  Adore the dog snuggle photos nestled by the tree.
How long did it take this crew to enjoy the hot tub??  No long at all.  That snow taht surrounds it didn't have much a chance either.
Favorite memory was sending the kids out for the vacation shipping list - nothing short of adorable.  Would say we got a soldi 80%.

Next up, Mary's birthday dinner celebration!

Love the full Maybetter family photo!
Rentals picked up and time to hit the slopes.  Gotta take note of the sign.

One more celebration before heading out

So many things before we head to CO for Christmas - we were thankful to be HOSTED at my folk's house by the McCullough's before leaving.  Super fun grab bag gift swap and beyond amazing Lasagna =) Good thing our wrestler isn't on full on cutting mode quite yet.
Here's to our blended family holiday dinner =)!
