Our newest Triathlete

For 6 weeks Nick was selected to be part of the YMCA Race for Chase program at the Camp Chase YMCA.  From 9-12 they trained on Running, biking and swimming as well as supporting each other and growing as athletes.  Chase was a young child killed in the Newton school shootings and his mother began this camp to have a positive influence on your athletes and help them to see their true strength.

Nick went happily rain or shine and they snagged these photos along the way.
It helped having his 2 best friends in the program too
They captured this at camp and posted it for us - love how it came out.  He won the coaches award for the program for being the best all around athlete and supporter - a true testament to this beautiful child and it warms my heart to see other kids and coaches seeing the beauty in him as well.
Here is the video we put together of the final race at the YMCA - Nick did awesome at the swim - his transitions were the place he hoped to improve a little next time.  It was a HOT HOT day and I think they all did awesome
So great that I wanted to take him to Winding trails to run the Tiny Triathlon with him.  200M Swim, 3 mile mountain Bike and 1 mile run.  We were both super excited for the swim which was cancelled seconds before we started due to thunder.  So the race became a 1/4 mile run, 3 mile bike and 1 mile run.  Right before the race I ask if he was excited to do this together - to which he responded, Together??  I am planning to beat you.
Not yet buddy, not yet!
