The Rockville duals was on the list as the last dual of the season. Coach Bristol is at 99 wins as a coach. Coach Tim wrestled at Rockville. This is a HARD match, every match counted. It was HUGE. Probably the most spirited we have ever been a part of. Wonderful for the kids to experience. 
Nick did awesome and won his match.
Sadly the lost overall, but it wasn't by much. They all left it on the mat and when home via Wendy's - little treat!

Next up Conference tournament - These 2 kids above Nick are the ones he is working so hard to get passed. The kid from Somers is a triplet (the sister is apparently the best of the 3!) seems like a great kid - obviously a great wrestler too.
Next up is Class S state tounrmane - Nick had to place in the top 6 to get a seat in the state open and it did it!! Some amazing matches to get there!
A few of the matches I sat next to their old coach Josh Kaplan, he knew all the calls, the points, what should happen etc. Rather educational for me! The team stays the night in Killingly (we got to take them to the grocery store to stock up for the evening. being at the grocery store with 6 wrestlers sure if entertaining. Its quite the diverse selection of food between who is cutting and who is just fueling up)
I ran into a Hich School buddy at the meet! Mike Kudish - what a great kid!! We still look like HIS kids right? Loved catching up for a bit on all the years in between as we cheer on our won HS kids!
Nick went onto the State open in New Haven. Its where he can wrestle the top guys no matter the size of the school they came from. He won 2 and lost 2. Felt pretty darn good about his final few matches and rolled out stuffing himself with ice cream and other forbidden wrestling foods. Time to toss the scale for the next several months!! Again, his dedication to the sport is motivating. Love to watch his hard work truly pay off.
