shane's celebration

Shane had a sweet little celebration after a really great year with Mrs. Santanella -

This was the year that Shane really made some friends.  A great group in this class that hs really enjoyed being with and than had him feeling good about himself.

Here is Shane's as narrator in his final play for the year.

Our little Lacrosse Guy

Drew is VERY active  - he plays VERY hard (sleeps hard too) so with the help of Tate McCullough - letting us borrow his equipment, we encouraged him to play this spring.  He paired up with some good buddies Andrew, Aiden and Charlie - sometimes watching these boys play makes me feel like I am watching our future high school team.
Definitely a good fit for this guy!
End of season little celebration - He gets HOT  for sure! but he keeps pushing!
And yes on the final days of school - we get curtsey bear and he is just over the moon =)
Wonder how often Curtosy bear gets dressed up as a football player to ride a chicken -

It just might be summer time

We were so fortunate to have an overnight at the Lake with our buddies the Briggs.  Its FINALLY warm, really warm - and its photos like this that make me FEEL like summer
I mean, doesn't this car LOOK like summer?? - we had a major shake down of the swim bin that we haven't seen in 8 months.
marshmallow season already!!
love these kids in the water, kayaks and all.
Just far enough that we can't hear them too - win win
Trying to capture the sunset.
Almost got the sunrise - the water is just calm - love it
They got out there quick!
Not the best buddy board, but it will work!
Love how colorful their shorefront is.
This guy even got a ride in the AM - still 21 right?  He looks it!!
Thanks to the Briggs for a great overnight - back to baseball reality!

We have a girl for a week this summer!!

Just this week we got the email from the Fresh Air Fund.  An organization that brings kids from the inner cities of NY to rural parts for a week in the country.  Last year we applied but weren't selected.  I didn't have high hopes for this year either.  I get it, its tough for a girl to survive in a house of 3 - 4 boys - I agree!
So when we were notified I literally couldn't believe it!  The boys were super excited too.  Drew's first words were - is she going to stay forever.  I am beyond excited just to see what we can bring to her in just one week and what she will bring to us.

every day life with chickens and a boy!

There she is - Nick's favorite girl.
And here is our new flock getting bigger.
some really pretty ladies in there to include Clara bell
And this is what he looks like when he heads out to feed the girls.  Completely put together.
You may think that being the oldest - you are the only one to get new bikes, well this guy has been riding a used BMX for quite a few years and was over the more to finally get this hot ride.
Nothing beats the adventure a boy can have on his bike!

NFPA Sprinkler convention

Right back to Boston we go.  Normally this convention is held in Las Vegas.  So for Chris to be able to attend in Boston is HUGE.  We made the excuse to stay with our cousins who weren't sick of us yet.  After taking Stacie to explore a local church she was ready to send me out here with Chris for the afternoon.  We signed in and headed out to the Expo.

I had to snap a photo just riding down to the expo.  Amazing the technology that exists here.
Taking over Boston
He doesn't let me take his photo often so I stole one here.  I was thankful to walk by Chris's side for this expo.  Listening to all he has learned, the questions he is asking, the folks he works with.  It amazes me how far he has come and will continue to go.
