Nothing says lets hit the road like a last minute pee break. Haven't even pulled out of the driveway yet. Briggs are already on the road, however based on their pee stops we will catch them before lunch.

The last minute rush felt a bit more last minutey - I caused a bit being out late to the super sweet wedding - however Chris managed to pull it all off and here we go!
There is something so free spirity and exciting making the final turns into Lobster lake.
Tracey, Steve, Gabby and Riley met us there with Lasagna in the oven. We moved right in and started the next day rocking a pretty serious project.
Tibs rock jumping... Wait, that wasn't the project. That is what is occupying the kids while another project unfolds
Tree finding, tree cutting, tree stripping and not tree hauling. This whole operation amazed me - the engineering and strength behind it was impressive.
They are merely posing, not demonstrating the efforts they put forth.
This crew on the other hand. Steve, Asa, Chris and Tracey take the cake for this log =)! Rebecca and I were on lifeguard and boat detail.
We hauled it up to the camp and considered the mission successfully complete (for the stages we were responsible for). Now to enjoy the first sunset.
The next day Wyland, Shannon, Wyland and Robbie joined us. Quite early matter of fact. They drove their RV from a soccer tournament in PA, left the RV in our driveway. Pretty sure the neighbors were amazed with the changing of gears that happened in mere hours as they went from soccer time to camp time. They ambled up on the beach in masks as a respect to the rest of us. However we are in this together. I am guessing this is the most normal everyone has felt for quite some time. So masks required. Time to enjoy the moments together.
In the many years I have come up to camp, never have we hike Spencer. Today is the day. It wasn't a far drive.
Snagged a somewhat decent group shot (really to ensure the number we go in with is the same we come out with)
The hike was beautiful and started to get a bit rugged. We came to this beautiful clearing. Shannon opted to stay here and chill. 20 minutes later, Robbie, Nora and I opted to head back to meet Shannon (clearly she knew what she was doing)
I was quite happy with our view.
The walk home was just as long. I am impressed by these troopers.
Loved capturing these 2. They had a pretty adorable bond over the week up there. Both enjoyed constant fishing - Wyland didn't seem to mind Drew's constant commentary
Nora was pretty happy to get back to the car.
We contended with the wind quite a bit both days but found places to escape it.
Another favorite shot. That is a rather clear shot of Spencer mountain!
I don't have this photo here - but I want to remember a ride back from wherever we were adventuring. It was windy and honestly we were a bit worried about boating into the wind and making it back. We took it head on and the waves were soaking us. I remember being in the boat with Asa, Shannon, Rebecca and Chris (which means I think Wyland was rocking it with the kids!) and we were drenched but in stiches. None of us risked soaking out iPhone for a photo. But the memory is etched.
Thurday morning - a crew hikes Katadin and I stayed back to enjoy a morning with our cousins and not be hiking! Thankful for the morning! Had to toast with these thoughtful glasses Shannon made sure arrived before our trip. They are the perfect cocktail glasses!
Glad I snapped a photo of the family before they headed out. Completely forgot to do this for us on our departure - but that was a bit more complex involving a tippy canoe, walk back to grandmas blah blah blah.
No wind and a true fishing frenzy
These boys caught a bunch and scaled them all to eat.
Fish nuggets!!
Here we are recording the first official lobster lake booze cruise!
we picked the perfect night for it!
Cheers to another great week up at Maine
