The rest of us will play - and Mom will call in LOTS of carpooling and life assistance.
Lets start with Friday night shingngans at the Briggs.
We had a bit of an early morning with the loud noises from the chickens. Alerting us to SOMETHING. Nick looked outside and saw feathers and a fox. He ran down and I came after him. The fox was startled by Nick, dropped the chicken. She walked a few steps to us and stopped. Nick grabbed her hoping to comfort her. I believe that was helpful. We brought her inside and set her up in the garage.
Sadly she was significantly injured
Even thought we tried to get her water and food, she died slowly laying her head on the 'spot it' container. Not the softest pillow, but something...
On a much brighter note - I have truly enjoyed hearing and knowing Chris is with the Madrays, the Carson's and his family. If you can believe it, this is the only photo he came back with (outside of photos from 134 Hickory that he was busily fixing up - from painting, garage door opener installation, mulching, weeding. Based on the adorable couple that moved in, it was completely worth it!
Love seeing these 2 faces together!
