Summer fun and bringing the Boo Boo back!

Nick got an invitation out to Cape Cod for a few days with his buddies- Lucky crew!  Thank you Bemis's!!  These boys are headed to HIGH SCHOOL!!  WHAT?!?!
Time to pick up the campers!  I went up with the Briggs to snag the rugged boys.  Loved hearing their stories on the way home - the alphabet game, their circle stories etc.

I have NEVER seen so many bug bites on a boy as Shane - he was covered!
A welcome back boo boo bear meal at my folks!
So nice to have this kiddo back.  He had a blast.  He would love to go back, but wants to do it cabin style next time.  Hiking - check!

From one overnight camp to the next

Time to pick up this cute little nugget - We headed up the night before and camped.  Perfect little camp site with Stacie and Jason.

This guy had a BLAST!
Drew loved showing us elements of his daily life
Shane just chilling having a soda on a random recliner/trailer
Drew forgot his slides but discovered an interesting feature of his sneakers - he calls them 'slews'
Love so much about this photo
Success - He LOVED it!
everyone sharing a meal together - fries were a hit
camping wake ups are adorable - the tent was abit more full with the entire crew for once
Think he was tired a bit?  We challenged them to finish a pint of ice cream - can you believe there was plenty of leftovers.
WE literally went right from NH to Shane's overnight hiking camp in Massachusetts.  Our GPS was mistaken so we were a bit late (which frustrated the Boo Boo bear....  as if we can never get it right...).  Thankfully the crew was still setting up when we arrived.  The counselors looked like a home run!  Rugged hikers.  Have fun Boo Boo bear!

Happy Birthday Diane!

When I am in DC for my besties birthday - its best to surprise her! (with the blessing of her family!!)  I was so fortunate to be able to pop in.  Looks like I stole her and went to Tuscany with this cool artwork behind us.
After dinner we headed off to hear weekly Volleyball crew.  She runs the show here.  Loved seeing her in her element.  Thankful they let me play too=)  I was thankful each time my serve actually went over the net - no that wasn't every time....
Birthday dessert ala Anna and Eve Wisneski
Because I just LOVE this Q-T's Hair cut!
Wayne is experiencing a bumper crop in the cucumber department.  I went home with 3!
Early that morning Diane and I went for a walk at the local school - Braddock high - Chris went there for 7/8 grade.

VA schools are HUGE - Nice early morning walk and chat with DiDi
Thankful for these treasures.  Loved that Eve and Ana prepped rooms and were ready for me to come.  Nice to be a part of their family and celebrating a special lady.

Drew's OVERNIGHT camp experience at Camp Calumet

Drew's overnight experience is at a simple bible camp on Lake Ossippee  NH, They had a camp ground linked to the camp so we opted to stay the night and get him settled.  We were THRILLED when the Canny's took us up on the option to join.  The camp had great little tent sites.  The Canny's are rather sensitive to not wanting to bother others, so when they rolled up to their camp site and it was already occupied - a double booking senario worked out in their favor as they scored a cabin that was PERFECT for them.
Loved this capture as the kids are headed to find the lake togehter.
Dogs could be on one side of the rope - Nora soaked it up and became rather water logged
LOVED camp sleeping!  the best.

We had an adorable boxer dog that loved noting (barking) when folks or creatures walked by.  His name was Ziggy!  I want to remember how adorably wiggly he was.  He belonged to a family whose grandmother owned him and was camping with her 3 granddaughters before they too went to camp.
Love this shot of Nora and her leash - going anywhere?  Not Nora.
Proud dad and his camping expedition
Chris served up a delicious breakfast for all!
All smiles from a great night sleep!  Canny's went on to grab a floating trampoline and we headed to deliver our baby on a week's worth of camping adventure.
Here he goes with the upmost confidence.  Check out the view of his cabin and his cool counselor.
OMG, I cannot even.....  The bunks, the cabin, the little dude.  Drew I hope its just wonderful!

meanwhile at a pub near by - I think this is a spaghettis grilled cheese sandwich
Here we are - just missing a few kiddos.  Shane is actually in VT with his buddy Theo - his overnight camp is later this month.
Such an empty car!

Home grown camp time

Gotta love some hometown camps - Here are some photos captured by Drew's camp counselor at Roaring brook.
With his best buddy Jaiden
These memories are childhood perfect
