I give these coaches a HUGE amount of credit. They dove right in, wore masks and offered tons of practice to mentor these kids. Drew soaked it all in. He was uncertain at first as his only baseball was back yard with his brothers (which at times is pretty legit) He LOVED this team - older kids, younger kids and his buddy Andrew.
We ended the season with a town tournament (among 2 teams). Double elimination. First game, land slide in one direction, second game, landslide in the other. 3rd game, nail biter.... They came out on top and it was pretty darn adorable. We love the other team (how could we not).
He even came home with a game ball.
