On Monday we started the moving process. Pauli decided the move was too stressful, she wanted to spend some time with her grandparents for a bit. So she book her ticket with Barbara. I drove them to Frnakfurt - we parked right at the terminal while Barbara checked her bagage an located Pauli's departure point. Shockingly, we had all the paperwork (to include a post dated rabies shot!)> Pauli had a hamster bottle for water that Barbara confirmed was 1/2 empty at landing - guess she figured it out.
Both Barbara and Pauli had a smooth flight. We are hoping the same holds true for the rest of this crew.
It is nice right now not having one more little one looking at me for attention - but I must admit, dinner clean-up is totally different. Chris commented on the first night as he swept the floor (we NEVER seem to do that) so we miss you Pauli.
here is a cute note that was sent - from Pauli of course!
Hi Mom and Dad!
I'm having a good time at Grandpa and Grandma's. They gave me a good dinner (without anything from their table, darn it) and lots of water. They let me sleep in their room on a special dog bed that smells a bit familiar, like maybe a cousin of mine once slept there. This morning they brought the bed down into the living room for me.
My crate was all clean when I landed at the airport. I was" the best I could be" for a dog.
There are some chipmunk holes in the backyard and I will get right after those varmints today. My goal is to either catch them, or chase them over to the Astorino's yard. Mr. Astorino likes to shoot rats, so he may enjoy this new challenge.
I've been guarding the house. Grandpa leaves the big front door open so I can look out and whenever a kid walks by on his way to school I make a little growl. Once a handsome boy boxer went by! I'm ashamed to say I lost it, and barked like crazy!
I can't wait to see you in Jan. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine, and I'll let you know if I can make any headway on the table scraps issue... here's hoping.
Love,
Pauli Girl
