Friday morning and we are set to begin the 7th Annual McCullouch/Leadbetter Super Bowl weekend.

Lets start the morning out right - no school, broken car being towed away.
makes for a great morning to clean the house with helpers. Matter of Fact, chris drove a few hours in the snow to collect a check from one of his projects - Makings of a memorable day!
I headed out to ski sundown to verify that we DIDN'T have lessons and MISSED the grand entrance - but came home with 2 extra sleds for the kids that were now making the most of the great out doors!
The house was filled and everyone had a buddy! We had some time to catch up, have a few cocktails and than Farrah and I headed out a an If Gathering that my church was hosting - I had found out about it after Farrah had sent me the book For the Love by Jen Hatmaker - a MUST read.
I was initially under the impression Jen Hatmaker would be spending at my church (so of course we needed tickets) The gather was in Austin Texas, and my church hosted an If Local meaning we got to see all the speakers streamed. It was schedule for super bowl weekend. Some things really are meant to be - off we go!
The boys covered down on the kiddos Friday night and all day Saturday -
why, because they are rock star dads - and now they deserve a night out!
There were a few occasions where we were rather dressed a like - almost sisters - we always say, if we were actually sisters we would dress totally opposite - like sisters! ha.
Millwrights is such an awesome spot - Chris and I went there once I knew we HAD to take these 2 foodies there. It was a perfect chilly New England night - a little time by the fire needed.
Champagne? Sure they offered us some since it took so long to get out table? Seriously, I will wait an extra 10 minutes if I need to =)
Crazy side bar - as we were chatting I heard a familiar voice at another table - turns out it was my history teacher for High school! Eva Hausman - makes it fun to be back home =)!
Is it really time to go back home?
Yes, because we had to go get comfy -
And play blokus - because we are cool like that - Seriously, we all loved this game!
I have never professed to be a good cook and therefore was eternally grateful to have SO MUCH help in the kitchen - these are really THE BEST house guests ever.
Sunday after church (yes, Farrah and I still needed and enjoyed more church! - it was wonderful seeing a few of the faces from our weekend together as they were headed back home - something about bonding at a table of women is truly amazing!)
O.k., now onto Moonshine tasting.

They had apple cider for these guys - Love love love the shirts - Drew is in a Tate original!
Another home town original place - The first time I had ever had moonshine was when Farrah brought it down to Northern VA on her trip to see us one summer - we stayed up all night and drank the whole thing (of course we did!) Funny I am bringing her to where its made - full circle!
Just a few miles from our house - if this doesn't say Canton, CT - I am not sure what does.
And now its Super bowl time - I mean super hero time -
The kiddos were great (we even had them betting - or picking squares...) to win some big money!
The May's and the Weber's joined us for the festivities and we loved having everyone at the house - bummer to think some folks had to go to work the next day...
I will say, this was one of those years when the game was actually better than the commercials - I guess instead of staring in the commercials, Peyton was staring in the game - I loved his final comment about wanting to have some budwiesers and go home to kiss his wife - yes Peyton - thank you, for being Peyton!

The McCulloughs were able to stay one more day - and how fitting as on Monday we had a snow storm - last year they drove home in it, this year, they skied in it - honestly it was perfect and the best we skied Sundown that entire year.
Loved Skiing with this lady who's progression was amazing - (yes, of closure I loved the fact that she looked to me when regarding any ski, mountain, snow type questions - wearing the blue jacket does make me all knowing!)
He hadn't skied since we were all together last year - and kept right up with Nick and Shane - Tater's gotta Tate!
Ski bunnies - we packed awesome lunches (thank you brian) - halfway through we had to go home and replenish beverages and offer Drew a little nap (and almost hit a hair salon.....oooops - yes, Lord, message received loud and clear!)

This really goes down in history as the night NO ONE wanted to go home.
But it was time - we literally loved every run

Another awesome weekend in the books of the McCullough/Leadbetter traveling gang - Huge Kudos to the guys for keeping it all together while Farrah and I were truly enriched. Thanks to the kiddos who at times during the weekend were overtired, over stimulated, over everything and barely got out the door. Would do every second of it again.
