More exploration, The Sistine Chapel, Spanish Steps and walking through the city

The next morning we were on our own. We had reserved a 'touring time' to the Sistine Chapel at 10:30, It was the perfect motivation to get us going. Another beautiful morning!

Chris went to figure out what line we needed to stand in while Nick took the camera for a little photo shoot.  All these photos were taken by Nick.

Love his self portrait

Nice one Nick

He has a pigeon thing...

Very artistic, maybe we are onto something

Remember, I have a hard time staying focused through a museum. Thankfully Shane and Nick feel the same way. The Sistine Chapel was amazing, but waging through the 4 miles of artifacts before and after took a bit of effort.

Of course, no photos while in the Sistine Chapel so here is a photo after we all survivied.

Ah, back outside!

Nothing like a little pigeon chasing to run off the museam walking!!

Next we walked along to the Spanish steps.  The area surrounding it is FULL of high end shopping.  Good thing all my Christmas shopping was complete =)

Here are the spanish steps flanked by Prada and Gucci of course!

We wanted to have a photo of Shane scaling the spanish steps, but we settled for a posh cafe while both kids slept.  Chris and I enjoyed a wonderful meal and 2 canolis by the time the dudes woke up.  Success!

Hello Boys!

Quick photo of our 'off kilter' stroller.  The German wings baggage hanlders mishandled it.  Thankfully it held up through all the coddlestones of Rome.  Now I work to fix it...

My Gladiator!!  Look out Russel Crow!

While Chris was walking the road our apartment was on he noticed this Irish Pub.  Check out that sign....

Yup, they are showing the Michigan vs. OSU game!  Amazing.

Here is a photo of our apartment door on the right.  We loved walking outside feeling so high class (we didn't tell anyone about the crappy sink!!)

Here is a little video from dinner that night.  Shane made sure we all ate quickly and got outta there!!

We had a yummy dinner around the corner that night and called it an early night.  Everyone needed a good nights sleep.
