Ever thought of getting a vacation home 20 minutes from your current home?? Who needs a vacation that only goes that far - how can going only that far bring on the vacation feel? But what if it could! Rebecca and Asa did and what a great idea. They grabbed this super cute house in Winsted on a great lake - beautiful view! As soon as we drove up, we understood - 100%. What a great idea!
The literally closed on the home June 30 and welcomed us up there over the weekend. Some awesome friends from Brooklyn drove up for the weekend as well (rebecca had known her since she was in kindergarten and her husband was a GREAT chef - good person to bring to the party right??)
We were included in the weekend festivities and I have to admit - I am amazed at how 'up for anything' our kiddos are. Here they are tubing - Shane and Drew - surprised they don't push each other off!

Definition of vacation home - a place to be with family to feel away from it all. And since it only 20 minutes away - you get to enjoy it more often. Like how they think!!
